Vic, back at Coral Park many of us knew you were living at Rocky's but never knew the real reasons why. You are courageous to do what you are doing. I am glad that it is helping you heal and that you, your Mom and siblings have been able to become a true family. It's true - times have changed since we were younger - God was truly watching out for you then - perhaps to bring you to where you are now - to be able to help others. Heard you on the Diane Rehm show this morning. I am sure you have touched many. Haven't seen you since the CP 20th reunion - you look great! Hope the book does well and touches many. My best to you and your family.

I heard you on the Diane Reams show. I'm a psychologist and agree that what you are doing is the best for you to heal and empower yourself and others to overcome and succeed as you have. Best wishes to you.

I am listening to your NPR interview. Thank you so much for your courage to speak out on this issue. It is true that many things have changed in the last 30 years regarding domestic abuse, but it has not stopped. Women must do what they can, yet for the most part men are the perpetrators in these situations, and men are the ones who need to take the lead to stop this hidden, horendous part of our culture. Thank you for stepping out and taking the lead on this very important issue. As a culture, I hope that we can make this a sordid part of our history and create a better future for all of us. I pray for healing for all survivors so that the cycle can be broken.

I just thought I had a bad childhood. I only got spanked and humilated. I was never beaten. I was lucky. I cannot believe people still abuse their children and spouses. Where do they get their nerve.

I am listening to you speak to Diane Reams now and I'm amazed by the grace with which you are baring your soul. My spouse also suffered through physical abuse as a child and I'm blessed he has the same sort of outlook you seem to have: that he can decide not to perpetuate that violence and also recognize the way we treat our children will determine how our world views domestic violence. Thanks for your insights and using your celebrity for positive purposes. We need more of you!

I have heard you on the Diane Ream shop, and my heart goes out to you. Thank you for your book. It will be a great inspiration to children who have had similar experiences in live with both mother and father.
